NAMS-2 offers the opportunity to shape the future of aerospace and technology working with highly skilled colleagues in an exciting environment of discovery.

NASA’s Ames Research Center, located in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley, focuses on  research and development that supports NASA’s overall goals in advancing aeronautics, science, space technology and human exploration.

Since 1939, Ames has led NASA in conducting world-class research and development in aeronautics, exploration technology and science aligned with the center’s core capabilities.

The NASA Academic Mission Services 2 (NAMS-2) contract, performed by a project team led by Crown Consulting Inc., expands Ames’ capabilities. It provides expertise, staffing and services that advance fundamental research and development, field-test deployments and operational missions.

NAMS-2 research areas focus on improving air traffic management, security and resilience that will meet future aviation demands and opportunities for airspace operations. Ames and NAMS-2 researchers collaborate on R&D projects with experts at other NASA centers, academia, federal organizations, not-for-profit organizations and industry.

The team seeks aerospace engineers, data scientists, software engineers, researchers and others from a range of disciplines who bring a passion for aerospace and advancing NASA’s mission.
