Crown researchers participate in “Air Traffic Control University”

NASA’s North Texas Research Station hosted an “Air Traffic Control University” training session to expose NASA and Team Crown researchers to real-world air traffic control operations. Attendees toured operational facilities, talked with FAA controllers and colleagues, and learned more about how the National Airspace System runs and NASA-developed systems are currently being used by NASA’s industry partners that include major U.S. airlines. These sessions enable the researchers to be more focused and to make informed decisions to better support their FAA and industry stakeholders.
