Dr. Paul Krois discusses NAMS-2 research and development efforts in support of defining the next epoch of the future air transportation system

Crown’s Chief Scientist for Safety and Human Factors, Dr. Paul Krois, published an article in Managing the Skies, a publication of the FAA Managers Association. The article describes how the Crown team, through the NAMS-2 program, is supporting development of the future air transportation system envisioned by the FAA and NASA. The Crown team is providing expertise in such fields as data analytics and integrated safety management. This expertise will assist in research and development of new and emerging capabilities and technologies in several areas, including collaborative traffic management, integration of novel vehicles and airspace uses, and urban air mobility.
