The core focus of this project is the development of flexible hybrid electronics for in-space manufacturing of electronics.
Projects in this area may focus on:
- Delivering the design, modeling, fabrication and testing of printed flexible hybrid electronic devices suitable for manufacturing on the International Space Station or Gateway, the small space station NASA is building with commercial and international partners to support lunar surface missions, science in lunar orbit and human exploration further into the cosmos.
- Developing a skin-wearable stress sensor to measure the hormone cortisol excreted in sweat from crew members.
- Developing a printed super capacitor to provide power to sensors.
- Ensuring proper integration with supporting flexible hybrid electronic hardware from collaborating NASA centers.
- Further integrating newly developed technologies.
